SARAH TAYLOR, 29
SHEFFIELD
MUM OF ONE

Why did you decide to take part in this show?

I felt my life was at a massive standstill, my guard up and I really wasn’t interested in meeting anyone. Coming on Girlfri3nds has massively changed me, I didn’t think I would feel like I am now.

It’s an unusual way to meet someone, why did you think this way would work for you?

It’s definitely something new meeting 100 guys. I just thought sounded very exciting and I love it.

How long have you been single?

I’ve been single for two years and my previous relationship was five years.

Are you the kind of person who would chat someone up in a bar?

I’ve never approached anyone in a bar but I sometimes have had some regrets when I get home and think ‘that guy was gorgeous why didn’t you go and chat to him.’ But it’s just not in my nature; I just get a little bit shy but I wish was a little bit more confident so I could approach a guy at a bar.

What are you looking for in your ideal man?

I want someone who loves life, I’ve got a click with them and there’s got to be a connection. I like someone who’s generous and not selfish, because I am not in to selfish people. Just somebody who’s on my wavelength because obviously there is some connection there.”

Describe yourself in three words?

Spontaneous, loving, funny.

What are your hobbies?

I haven’t really got any if I am honest, my life revolves around my little boy Noah, who is 3 (years old). I spend lots of time with my family and love a shop, a girl loves her shops.

What has been your worst date?

I went out with a guy who I know locally. We had a really good night but I was trying to keep up with him drinks wise but at the end of the night he had to give me a fireman’s lifts to the taxi and I was sick on his shoes and we were both mortified. He was happy to go out again but I decided to leave it there!

Do you have any funny dating stories?

Whilst out with my ex boyfriend and some friends my heel got stuck in a grate and I couldn’t get it out so I had to run down the road with one shoe on trying to get someone to help me!

What would be your ideal date?

Dinner is just a little bit too formal for me. I would like something a little bit random, possibly a Theme Park, just something a little different.”

If you could date a celebrity who would that be?

Mark Wright! I think he’ unbelievable. I have just loved him from day one. He seems like a lovely lad and has a good personality and sense of humour. He’s also really close to his family and nan and I think it’s really cute.”

Do you have a particular type?

It’s not really about looks for me. It’s about who they are and how they make me feel more than anything. It’s just getting that click with someone.”
